EXPERIENCE

Juan Pablo has extensive experience leading projects in the public and private sector in adapting technological regulations, such as cybersecurity, personal data protection, among others; in addition to the implementation of compliance programs. He has had an active participation in the development of public policies in these matters.

He was in charge of Legal Affairs in the Cybersecurity Coordination of the Undersecretary of the Interior (2018-2020), where he led various legislative initiatives on cybercrime, cybersecurity and technical standards in regulated industries. He actively participated in the process of adaptation of Chile to the Budapest Convention and implementation of some actions in the National Cybersecurity Policy, and as other regulations associated with digital transformation of the State and artificial intelligence.

In addition, he served as Senior Manager at Deloitte (2021-2023), in the Cybersecurity and Risk&Compliance practice, advising national and international organizations in the processes of adaptation to various technological regulations from a compliance approach. Subsequently, he assumed as Senior Manager at NTT DATA (2022) in the Cybersecurity practice, participating in projects in Privacy, Security and Data Governance; and acted as point of contact in the implementation process of the EMEAL Privacy Program. In the last period, he served as leader of the Data and Privacy practice at Assertiva (2024-2025), where he led projects of adequacy and implementation of privacy programs at national and international level.

Juan Pablo is director of the Diploma in Technology and Regulation, and advisor to the Observatory on Law and Technology at Universidad del Desarrollo. He is also a guest lecturer at various national and international universities on cybersecurity, personal data protection and technology regulations. Finally, for his contribution in these topics, he is a guest expert in the EU Cyber Net.
